Jun 22, 2008 · Short answer no. Long answer, depending on what year your FX is, you can never turn off the traction control - just VDC... believe only the 2003's allow you to turn off VDC and TCS with the VDC...

Mar 05, 2016 · I have done just that. I can disconnect the abs sensor through my upfitter switches. Works great. This is the only way I have found to fully disable traction control. If you pull an abs fuse it will disable traction control but it also disables the locking diff. The way I did it was all plug and play without cutting any wires. No wheel speed sensor repair needed. I was told that when the "Service Stability System"-ABS and Traction control light come on it's due to electrical problem. I am taking car in to electrical shop later in the week. In the meantime, every time I drive, I must turn off traction control to stop abs/traction control from engaging on it's own. With the Gen II Prius you can turn off traction control by doing a crazy dance with the controls. It's not meant to be a user selectable mode, but it can be done.
